Specimen Relaxer with Syringe - Enzyme Solution Kit

This complete kit provides everything you need to quickly and effectively relax dried insect specimens for mounting. It includes two vials, each with an enzyme unit inside, plus a syringe for easy application. Just add water when ready to prepare the solution.

How to use:

• Add clean water to the vial until it is about half full.

• Shake gently and let it sit for about 30 minutes. If in a hurry, continue shaking until dissolved.

• Once solids have settled, draw the clear upper portion of the solution with the included syringe.

• Carefully inject a small amount into the specimen’s thorax. Do not over-inject, as excess may stain the wings.

• Wait 15–30 minutes and check the specimen. Larger or drier specimens may require more solution or time.

• Once relaxed, the specimen is ready for mounting.

Important Notes:

• The enzyme solution works by breaking down muscle tissue, making specimens flexible for pinning.

• Not recommended for specimens intended for DNA analysis.

• Store any leftover solution in a freezer for future use.

• Keep out of reach of children.
